ECC go roller skating!

A little wet – no problem, its time to go roller skating at Caloundra’s Rollerdrome. ECC students had a great time skating to disco music and playing tag with teacher Marty. The students had a break for snacks and drinks and played some arcade games before getting back out on the skates!

Aboriginal Presentation.

ECC Students participlate in Aboriginal Presentation!

Lyndon Davis from the Gubbi Gubbi People presented Aboriginal Art and Culture to the ECC group. Lyndon played the didgeridoo, and told some stories before the students went outside to throw some boomerangs. Students had a lot of fun and finished the day learning how to make Aboriginal Art.

Canoeing on the Maroochydore River

ECC Students explore Maroochydore River!

A beautiful sunny day to be out on the river. Students paired up to canoe the river, after paddling to a rest point the students jumped in the water to cool off. Then the paddle back to Swan Boat Hire where the students finished the day with soft drinks and hot chips…Yummy!

Beach Day!

ECC students play at Kings Beach

The ECC students played dodge ball and soccer at Kings Beach, Caloundra before making a splash at the beach swimming pool.  It was a little windly but that couldn’t stop the students from having so much fun!

Welcome ECC Juniors!

ECC students have arrived!

The ECC group from Osaka, Japan is at GV Caloundra for 1 week. There are 14 students aged 8 to 12 years, all full of energy and excited to be here. They will be having English lessons in the morning and activities in the afternoon around the Caloundra area. Marty Porter is their teacher this week and all the students have taken to Marty as their new Aussie friend. A big thank you to all the host families looking after the students for the week, home stay is a big part of their experience here and all the students are very happy in their home stay!
