Final Presentations

Students shared their final presentation in class with great confidence and English skill.

They talked about life in their own countries and their experience in Noosa with GV.

The TAP teacher, Aaron, was very proud to see all students improve dramatically just in a few weeks. He says “Congratulations, class! Keep working hard, and remember to practice English and have fun”.

Our TAP group joined the school BBQ in the afternoon. It was farewell  for TAP students and welcome for Cambridge Course students.

Motoki says he really enjoyed his English lessons and enjoyed meeting a lot of friends from around the world.

Ryujyu says he gained confidence with his English and would like to come back to GV Noosa.

Yoon Jae enjoyed surfing very much and wants to join TAP again in July and August.

Saad also enjoyed surfing and other activities. He shared his culture and his language with other TAP students.

Thank you for joining TAP Christmas and New Year! We hope to have you again here in Noosa.

Just Cruising

The Noosa River is spectacular even on a cloudy day. TAP’s enjoyed the ride up river and took a short swim to cool off.

Everyone had a turn at driving the boat and we didn’t even crash into anything! We saw Pelicans and other water birds, and lots of fish at the jetty.

Cables Ski Proves Challenging

The students were tired and sore, but begging for more at the Cable Ski Park

After listening to the safety video we got our kneeboards and had a go. Ryuju even tried a wakeboard (standing up) after mastering the kneeboard

English Lessons Are Fun

We welcomed new students this week. Saad from Saudi Arabia and Rio from Indonesia. They soon made friends and started enjoying their English lessons.

Lots of laughter and noise was coming out of their class room! Saad teamed up with Sei, Rio teamed up with Yoon-Jae and Ryuju, Motoki and Yudai were in a team.

Everyone was trying to get a chance to give answers to build their points. Rio and Yoon-Jae won the competition. Yoon-Jae soon asked what her prize was going to be. The prize was a huge hug from everyone!

Underwaterworld Adventure

TAP students had a whale of a time at Underwaterworld in Mooloolabah.

We saw silly Seals and got up close to some hungry Sharks. Students were in awe of the colourful creatures of the sea!

Goodbye, and thanks!

Poole Gakuin finished their stay with us with a farewell party.

All students gave a great speech about what they have learned and thanked host families.  Misa could not hold her tears while she was making her wonderful speech.  It was very nice to see her host mother come to her side and gave her support her to finish.  Tears can be contagious, though!

Although their stay was for a short time, it was great to see how students and host families got so close to each other.

We would like to thank host families again for taking students during the busy festive season. We hear was that they had a special Christmas time with you, and a memory of an Australian Christmas that they will never forget.

We will miss Poole Gakuin High School students (you’ve been great!) and we hope to have them back with us in the future.

TAP hit the waves!

By the time TAP got back to school from their surfing lesson, they were exhausted beat by waves!  But they seemed very satisfied with what they achieved with their surfing lesson.

There were a lot of feet  in the ocean at the beginning, but finally we all managed to stand up on the board.

There is a special course which you can train your surfing skill. Please join TAP surfing in July and August to have intensive surfing training sessions.
