SIGHTSEEING FUN: Exploring the beauty of the Northern Beaches!

To kick things off, we took a scenic walk to the stunning North Head Lookout, with panoramic views over the Sydney skyline and harbour. It was the perfect way to introduce our new friends to the beauty of Manly, and students enjoyed taking photos, soaking up the views, and relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere above the ocean.

In the second week, the group also enjoyed the Long Reef Beach Walk, exploring more of the Northern Beaches shoreline while enjoying the fresh sea air and beautiful surroundings. It was a refreshing and memorable highlight of the program.

ACTIVE AFTERNOONS: Learning how to surf on Manly Beach!

Our students took to the waves with an exhilarating surf lesson at the beautiful Manly Beach! The students suited up in wetsuits and hit the water, guided by experienced instructors who taught them the basics of surfing. With the sun shining and waves crashing, they practiced balancing on their boards, paddling out, and catching their first waves. The thrill of standing up and riding a wave for the first time brought smiles and cheers all around. Beyond the fun, the surf lesson helped build confidence, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for the ocean, making it an unforgettable day out on the water!

SOCIAL AFTERNOONS: Picnic & Aussie Food Tasting!

One Friday, our students enjoyed a relaxing picnic by the beach, soaking up the sunshine, ocean views, and great company while unwinding together after class. The following week, the fun continued with an Aussie Food Tasting, where everyone had the chance to try a range of classic Australian snacks and flavours. From sharing laughs on the sand to discovering new favourite treats, these activities were a great way for students to connect, experience local culture, and make lasting memories during their time with us.

ACTIVE AFTERNOONS: Kayak Tour in Manly!

Next, we cooled off with a scenic Kayak Tour, paddling through calm, sparkling waters surrounded by nature. For many students, this was their very first time in a kayak – and they absolutely loved it. Gliding past lush bushland, spotting birds and fish, and soaking up the Aussie sunshine made it a peaceful yet exciting afternoon. There were plenty of laughs, a few playful splashes, and even a race or two as students got the hang of paddling in sync. It was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the outdoors from a whole new perspective.

Our January TAP Program runs for four weeks and gives students an exciting opportunity to welcome new peers into their group. It’s a fantastic chance to expand social circles, build new friendships, and share experiences during their time in Australia. From bonding over shared interests to working together on team challenges, the arrival of new students brings fresh energy and new perspectives. We’re looking forward to seeing meaningful friendships grow and a vibrant group dynamic develop, making this an even more enriching experience for everyone involved.

The next intake for TAP Sydney will be March 2026.
