For two weeks our TAP students from 3 continents had a practical experience in learning about real world conservation; all while immersing themselves in the English language.

The goal of our TAP’s Wildlife Conservation program on the Sunshine Coast is to give students the chance to get up close and personal with our Aussie wildlife while also learning about ecosystems, habitat protection and animal welfare.
This course is for the animal lovers of the world.

Over two weeks our students will experience a personal Australian wildlife show. Including a variety of lizards, crocodiles, furry creatures, snakes and of course- an Aussie koala!

Not to mention two full day excursions to Australia Zoo. Students will get to experience being Zookeeper for a day, feeding Kangaroos, a Wildlife hospital tour and other behind the scenes adventures that only few get to try. We love seeing the students meet new animals in real life encounters. Rarely do you forget the first time you meet an Australia Crocodile- especially when they can be over 5 meters in length. We meet them safely from a distance of course!

Students will also be invited along a guided river cruise to see local flora and fauna. This tour will be discussing the ecosystems of different environments with students’ input of why we need to protect our habitats. As students confer about these important topics, they will eating a classic sausage sizzle barbeque lunch on the boat as well.

While we do encourage students to have fun and create new memories, we can’t forget the studying and English practice of this experience. Classes will be held in English with students from different countries covering topics such as; conservation vocabulary, animal classifications and facts, what goes into wildlife rescues and designing habitat ecosystems. All the information budding wildlife warriors will need to know to help protect the environment and its animals. With a few creative activities sprinkled through to keep the information interested and informative for these young minds.

We are always so excited to host our wildlife warriors on the Sunshine Coast and love seeing them make lifetime memories in Australia. We hope they had an amazing time living the Australian lifestyle and even heard from a few students they will definitely be coming back. We can’t wait to meet again in the future!
