Week 4 of TAP Noosa
Monday – Didgeridoo Lesson
Welcome to our new students from Taiwan, Japan & Russia. We kick started the week with a Didgeridoo lesson in the park, and the magical history behind the instrument. The teens quickly discovered that making a sound wasn’t as easy as it looked. There were giggles, bursts of laughter, and plenty of “almost there” moments as they tried to master the circular breathing technique. But with patience, encouragement, and a few friendly tips, the first notes began to echo through the park. It was a great first activity for our new TAPS to break the ice and spend time laughing outside in nature.

Tuesday – Make your own TOTE Bag
Think Noosa, Think Wild life… our group got creative by designing their own TOTE Bags, an empty space ready to be transformed. Who knew we had so many Picasso’s in disguise! Their expression through art was fantastic, each design representing their personality. Spending time designing something by hand can be relaxing and rewarding, giving our TAPS an opportunity to focus, unwind, and enjoy the creative process.

Wednesday – Surf Life Activities at Noosa Surf Life Saving Club
We were lucky enough to be given a run down about safety in the water, and how to build confidence in the Ocean by our Volunteer Lifeguard at Noosa Main Beach. Our TAPS headed up to the lifeguard tower to take in a different view from up top! Teams then rallied their way through the arvo with games of Volleyball. There is something so special about feeling the sand and laughed at many funny mistakes.

Thursday – National Park Walk
What better way to end the day than a walk through Noosa’s stunning National Park. The sun was shining brightly, casting a warm glow over the coastal tracks. The ocean was crystal-clear water glistening in the sunlight. TAPS from different countries meant every conversation offered a new perspective. Conversations about homes, hobbies, families, cultures, and laughing about the little things that make travel so memorable.

Friday – Graduation & School BBQ in the Park
We said goodbye to four of our students from Japan, New Caledonia & Italy. We celebrated their graduation in the park with the whole Lexis School, hearing about their time here in Class whilst eating, some relaxing, and lots of games of volleyball
It was a great way to end the week to catch up with friends, endless games in the sunshine and lots of full bellies! We look forward to hearing about their weekend fun and welcoming a big group of new students next week.
