The excitement has continued at Urban X Perth, with our young participants diving headfirst into another incredible lineup of activities designed to challenge, inspire, and build confidence.
After kicking off the program with an exciting scavenger hunt and an action-packed skateboarding workshop, the adventure has only gotten bigger and better!
Our participants took on an exhilarating Parkour Workshop at The Motion Academy, where they learned to navigate obstacles, build agility, and develop resilience while having an absolute blast. It was amazing to see everyone encouraging one another as they stepped outside their comfort zones and celebrated their achievements.
Creativity took center stage during our Graffiti Workshop with Nelson at The Y in Leederville. Guided by an experienced artist, the group explored the world of street art, experimenting with color, design, and self-expression while learning about the positive impact of urban art within the community.
To wrap up the first week, everyone hit the dance floor for an energetic Hip Hop Dance Workshop at Street Corner Dance. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and impressive new moves as participants embraced the rhythm, built confidence, and worked together to master fun routines.
Week 2 has already been just as exciting! We started with an unforgettable behind-the-scenes tour of Optus Stadium, where participants explored one of Perth’s most iconic sporting venues and discovered what happens beyond game day.
Today brought a change of pace with a wonderfully calm and creative morning at ClayMake Studio. Participants enjoyed experimenting with clay, letting their imaginations run wild while developing new artistic skills in a relaxed and welcoming environment. It was the perfect opportunity to slow down, connect, and create something uniquely their own.
With so many fantastic experiences already behind us, there’s still plenty to look forward to as Urban X continues to provide opportunities for young people to explore new interests, build friendships, develop life skills, and create lasting memories.
We can’t wait to see what the rest of the program has in store!
