Week 3 of TAP Noosa

Monday – Hastings St Quiz

We started off the week by welcoming our new students from Japan, France & Taiwan. Our TAPS gathered into teams and headed on the bus down to Hastings St. Students scanned the quiz on their phones and followed the questions leading them down the hustle and bustle vibrant street. They worked together to search for items, find out what SLSC stands for by the iconic Main Beach, and find out how many different Boomerang Types you can buy at the Australian Gift Shop. There’s also three different ways to style your Lexis cap the boys demonstrated!

Tuesday – Beach Games

There’s something special about a sunny arvo at the beach, especially when it’s spent with our group of TAPS ready for some fun. The weather was warm, the sky was bright, and the ocean glistened beautifully in the sunshine, creating the perfect backdrop for beach games. For our students that arrived with us at the start of the week, it was extra special seeing their faces light up stepping foot on the sand. There was lots of laughter, cheering, and playful banter as we ran across the sand and celebrated every point scored. The joy was contagious, everyone smiling, encouraging one another, and enjoying the moment.

We left with sandy feet and happy hearts. It was a simple outing, but one filled with connection, laughter, and memories.

Wednesday – Surfing

After a morning of learning, it was time to hit the water and cruise through the rest of the arvo. Some of our students were now experienced surfers cruising effortlessly through the water whilst others were learning the new skill. It didnt matter how skilled anyone was, all TAPs continued to cheer each other on and share excitement. Surfing is about more than riding waves. It teaches patience, resilience, confidence, and respect for nature. Every moment is a lesson, every successful ride a celebration, and every laugh a memory worth keeping. Days like these capture the spirit of our international school community—a place where learning extends beyond the classroom, cultures come together.

Thursday – Table Tennis Tournament

It was a bitter sweet tournament as two of our TAPS had their last activity with the group. There were some serious rallies across the net, snacks disappearing way too quickly, people challenging each other to “one more game,” and everyone hanging out made it feel more like a catch-up than a tournament. Whether they scored an amazing point or accidentally missed the easiest shot ever (we’ve all been there!), everyone kept smiling. Along with Table Tennis, our students played ”piggy in the middle” and had a kick around with the football.

FridayFour TAP Students Graduation, Movie & Popcorn

We celebrated four of our students, all from France, graduating on their last day of Lexis Noosa. Teachers shared kind words about their class interactions and we are all thankful to have crossed paths and shared amazing experiences with our new French friends. They will be missed around the School!

After Lunch, we headed to the Cinema for Moana & Popcorn. It was a perfect way to kick back, relax, and wind down for the weekend ahead. Safe travels to our friends departing, and we can’t wait to welcome our new faces next week.
