Week 6 of TAP Noosa – Scavenger Hunt, Aussie Food & Slang, Beach Tennis, Sand Sculpture Competition & Boomerang Painting

Monday – Scavenger Hunt around Noosa Junction

We had another busy morning welcoming lots of new faces here at Lexis. Our Scavenger Hunt was a great ice breaker and a chance to get to know our new students by teams picked out of a hat, and working together around the Noosa Junction. Photos such as ”Two of your team doing Yoga” & ”Two of your team posing with their favourite food” It was a perfect start to the week as our TAPS bonded together through a team game connecting them not just through yoga, but by cultures too!

Tuesday & Wednesday – Aussie Food & Slang & Beach Games

After a morning of English lessons it was time to kick back and try some of Aussies favourite snacks, and crosswords of Aussie Slang Words. There were Tim Tams, Musk Lollies, Anzac Biscuits, Fairy Bread and Vegemite. Games of Trivia about Australia combined learning with fun. Wednesday Arvo it was time to hit the beach and play some Beach Games. For our group of international students, that iconic beach culture came to life. On a beautiful sunny day, students gathered on the golden sand bought the energy and were ready to get active. These Teens jumped straight into action with games of tag, frisbee, and cooled off with sandy toes dipped in the ocean.

Thursday – Sand Sculpture Competition

Team Objective: Sea Creature! Our TAPS formed into teams and showed off their very talented artistic skills. Beyond the sculptures, the competition highlighted the creativity and collaboration of each group. Each team worked together to brainstorm ideas, solve design challenges, and bring their imaginary sea creatures to life. It was inspiring to see everyone encouraging one another and celebrating each other’s achievements.

Friday – Boomerang Painting

Happy Graduation! We celebrated 13 of our TAP students Graduating here in Noosa. All of their faces will be missed around Campus. To finish off the week, we relaxed with some painting. Picking up a paintbrush can give your mind the chance to slow down, recharge, and reset. Our TAPS spoke about their favourite memories with one another and created friendships to carry with them wherever they are in the world.
